One Week Dance Boot Camp

Are you a high school musical theatre performer looking to improve your dancing skills? Whether you have two left feet or have been dancing your whole life, choreographers, Rachel MacIsaac and Christopher Myers will brush up your technique and help you gain more confidence in your dancing in a fun, high energy program! At our week long dance boot camp, we’ll focus on building strength, flexibility, technique, and performance skills while covering a few different styles through different dance combinations. This program will help prepare students for the upcoming high school productions.

About the Instructors

RACHEL MACISAAC
is a local choreographer and theatre educator who has worked all over the Fairfield County area including the Performing Arts Conservatory of New Canaan, Summer Theatre of New Canaan, The Spot, Music Theatre of Connecticut, and ACT in Ridgefield. She is also the resident choreographer for Staples High School, having choreographed 15 different productions over the past 7 years. Rachel was a swing for the National Tour of Mamma Mia! and has performed all over the US in roles such as Cassie in A Chorus Line, Bianca in Kiss Me Kate, and Sharpay in High School Musical. Rachel is the mother to two beautiful girls and is passionate about working with high school musical theatre students.

CHRISTOPHER MYERS
is currently the Theatre Coordinator for the award winning New Canaan High School Theatre Department. He has directed several productions there including Godspell, Midsummer Night's Dream, Tuck Everlasting, 9 to 5, and Disaster the Musical. Christopher was a proud cast member and dance captain of the Broadway Company of Mamma Mia! from 2012-2015 before moving to CT with his wonderfully talented wife, Rachel. Christopher has performed regionally all over the US in roles such as Marius in Les Miserables, Robbie Hart in The Wedding Singer, Jesus in Godspell, and Riff in West Side Story. Since moving to CT, he and Rachel have taught, directed, choreographed, and produced theater all over Fairfield County. Christopher loves working with theatre students of all ages.
