THE PLAYS*

TBD, SUMMER 2023
SEEING VIOLET by Peter Snoad

When Betsy and John Marsh renovate the old barn at their historic New England manse, items are unearthed that suggest family links to slavery. They include a document freeing an enslaved woman named Violet. Determined to learn what happened to Violet, Betsy embarks on a relentless quest for the truth about the past – which forces a devastating reckoning in the present.

TBD, SUMMER 2023
HEADING OUT by Robert Schneider

Nyssa met Thaddeus when she took his freshman survey course in Western Philosophy. A professor and a student with unusually compatible minds, they found themselves embarked for a multi-year cruise on the deep waters of philosophic conversation. In Nyssa’s final semester, however, they encountered a topic as implacable as the Titanic’s iceberg. Months later, the wreckage is still floating.
The second act is an alternative to the first. The characters leave from the same port, but the wind carries them to different destinations.

TBD, SUMMER 2023
TAMING THE LION by Jack Rushen

TAMING THE LION is the true story of the contentious relationship between film mogel Louis B. Mayer and William Haines, the first openly gay actor in the studio system in the early 30's.
