Music Theatre of Connecticut School of Performing Arts MainStage Kids present Roald Dahl's "Willy Wonka: Junior Edition." The production will take place on Friday, January 8 at 7:30pm and Saturday, January 9 at 2pm at Westport Country Playhouse, 25 Powers Court (at Post Road) in Westport, CT. Featuring songs from the classic family film including “The Candy Man”, “Pure Imagination”, “Oompa Loompa” and “I Want it Now” by Academy® and Grammy® award winner Anthony Newley.
“Roald Dahl’s Willy Wonka: Junior Edition” is a fully staged and costumed production performed by MTC School of Performing Arts students, ages seven and up. The production features Costume Design by Diane Vanderkroef, Set Design by David Heuvelman, Choreography and Musical Direction by Marty Bongfeldt and Directed by Jim Schilling. The cast features Juliette Berger, Gavin Berger, Taylor Bluestine, Maizy Boosin, Daisy Brackett, Philip Cadoux, Sydney Carson, Casey Cohen, Shane Cooper, Zoe Fox, Claudia Guetta, Nicole Kiker, Kyra Post, Claudia Robinson, Morgan Skinner, Hallie Spear, Cate Steinberg, Rachel Suggs, Elisabeth Tonsberg and Lauren Wasserman of Westport.
